La Luna Summer 2017 News
It was a great summer at La Luna. We went to several east coast horse shows and all of the horses performed so well.
Natalie Meyer and La Luna’s Quintago and La Luna’s Ideal made their debut in the high children’s jumper division. Both horses ribboned throughout the summer. Quintago finished third in the Marshall and Sterling finals for that division. Ideal had a small injury and did not end up competing in that class although he qualified as well. When not in the jumper divisions, both horses along with Natalie competed in equitation and will try out the big eq this winter down in Florida.
Paul Mayne and La Luna’s Cara had a solid summer together competing at the meter thirty division with good results throughout the summer. Both horse and rider are looking forward to Florida.
Julie Stevenson and her old friend, La Luna’s Angelina were champions two weeks in a row at the Vermont Summer Festival in the adult hunter division. They also did well at HITS. Angelina finished fifth in the Marshall and Sterling hunter finals. During the summer, Julie also rode, La Luna’s Beso in the adult hunter division and did very well. They were reserve champions in Vermont this year behind Angelina!!
As the leaves begin to change, it has been nice to be back at the farm. The horses have had some time off after a busy summer. In the end of December, the horses will leave for the winter in Wellington (not such a bad life)! We are going to be at a new barn this winter and have room for winter boarders. Please get in touch if you are interested.
We look forward to seeing you at the farm or on the road!!
Happy Holidays from Everyone at La Luna!!
