Spring Flowers at La Luna
Happy May from La Luna!!
The spring rains have made everything green and blooming here at the farm. The horses had a great winter in Wellington, Fl. Paul competed La Luna’s Cara in the 1.30 meter classes and did great. Natalie and Quintago showed in the 12-14 equitation and hunters and had a terrific season. I even had a go at the adult hunters with the lovely Angelina. She was a star!!
My exciting news is that I have a new horse named, La Luna’s Beso. (That means kiss in Spanish). He is a beautiful, bay, Westphalian, hunter, gelding. I am looking forward to many happy years together. My other horse, Terra Tradition is now semi-retired and will no longer be showing. He has been a great partner to me for many years and I am happy that I can look out my bedroom window and seeing him grazing with one of our retired ponies, Loycee Coco who is now about 34!! He likes older woman!!
Over the winter, our pony, Jollywood came back from a lease and is now back at the farm. He is being part-leased by Athena Bason and doing a few lessons as well. We are thrilled to have Athena at the barn and to have Jolly back.
While we were in Wellington, Gwenyth Babbington rode Rosalita in the 12-14 equitation and they were a great team. We hope to see more of them while we are at HITS in Saugerties. We will be there for the three sessions this summer. We are also heading up to the Vermont Summer Festival for the first two weeks of July.
Please come by the farm and see what we are doing. There is always something happening and we would love to say hello.
