Happy Holidays!

It is hard to believe that the holidays are already upon us. Here at La Luna, we have a lot to be thankful for. We had a wonderful show season with amazing horses and riders. Katrina Henson and Amandolo were circuit champions in the Novice equation division at HITS Saugerties. Natalie Meyer began a new partnership with her horse, Quintago. We wish them many happy and successful years together. Ava Zinczenko started leasing Greystone Firecracker and we hope to see them in the show ring this Spring. Congratulations Ava.

Riding success can be defined in many ways. There is the winning in the ring which is always fun yet there is so much that goes on before the ring that really brings the success. There is the training of both the horse and the rider. We are very lucky to have one of the best trainers in the area who not only trains the riders but the horses as well. Paul Mayne makes sure that each horse and rider is ready to take on whatever they are set to do at a horse show. Our grooming team always has the horses looking amazing and ready to go at the ring. It sounds easy but it is not. We are very lucky to have such a team behind us.

Success can also be defined by the relationship between the horse and the rider. I believe that so much of a great partnership comes from that relationship. The trust that is established between the two and the time spent with each other, gaining that trust, is not something that can be taken for granted. We are so lucky to for what these amazing animals do for us on a daily basis. There is a lot to be thankful for.

So as we go into this season of giving, give your horse a pat and a carrot and say thank you!! Also say thank you to your team that works so hard on a daily basis to make the show season successful. We could not do it without you!!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year from all of us at La Luna!
