Summer 2016

What a great summer we had at La Luna Farm. We attended several horse shows in the Northeast and had many good results. Natalie Meyer and her horse, La Luna’s Quintago, competed in the 14 and Under Junior Hunter division, winning several classes and qualifying for the Marshall and Sterling finals. It was their first full summer together and they got better and better each month. Natalie also competed La Luna’s Ideal in the mini medal division winning several classes. They too were new partners and are a very good match.

La Luna’s Angelina and Julie Stevenson competed in both the adult hunter and equitation divisions throughout the summer. They had consistently good rounds and qualified for the Marshall and Sterling finals in Saugerties.

Paul Mayne competed La Luna’s Cara in the 1.20 meter division. Both horse and rider are poised to move up to higher levels this winter down in Wellington, FL.

As Fall approaches, we will be on the farm training and preparing for the winter season. It is a great time to join the La Luna team. We head down to the Winter Equestrain Festival in early January and will be there for the winter season.

We are very happy to welcome the Harde-Perry family and congratulate them on their lease of Greystone Firecracker. We wish them all the best luck in the year ahead. We also welcome Athena Bason and her family to La Luna. We are looking forward to an exciting year together.
